If the honest answer is “not yet”, that is the answer you will get from us — before you buy, rather than after. Nothing below is worded differently for a prospect than for a customer.
Running it
Be careful with anyone who answers the first of these too smoothly.
The system runs on a server your venue reaches over the internet, so a total outage stops ordering — the same as it would for card payments. What we promise is honesty about it: the system tells you immediately and loudly when something is wrong rather than failing quietly. What we can do is remove the cause you are most likely to meet. Nearly every outage a venue actually has is its own line — the building’s fibre, not the internet — so we will help you put a 4G router in as an automatic backup: it takes over within seconds, costs a few hundred baht a month, and your floor keeps taking orders while the neighbours are calling their ISP. That covers your line. It does not cover ours, and no second connection in your venue can. If uninterrupted offline service is essential to you, say so early and we will tell you straight whether we are the right fit.
Almost certainly nothing to start. Any reasonably modern tablet or laptop runs the staff side in a browser, and guests use their own phones. You will want a receipt printer, and a second tablet for the kitchen if it is a separate room. We will tell you exactly what to buy — and we do not take a margin on it.
No, and they never will. The QR opens the menu in the phone’s own browser. No app, no account, no wifi password, no email address collected before they can look at a menu.
No. The code is signed for that table, the session binds to the first device that scans it, and a different phone scanning a table with an unpaid bill is refused rather than joined to the tab. On top of that, every round waits for a staff member to fire it, so even a valid session cannot put anything into the kitchen on its own.
Yes. Staff order from their own screen for the table that would rather tell a person, the walk-up at the bar, or the guest whose battery died. QR ordering is a door, not a turnstile — venues that treat it as a headcount cut usually go backwards.
Most venues are serving within a week. We enter your menu from your PDF, draw your floor table by table, cost your recipes, print and place the QR codes, train your staff on your own floor, and stand with you on opening night.
Tax and money
There is a whole page on this with the arithmetic written out.
No. Below the ฿1.8m annual threshold, bills print as plain receipts with no VAT line. When you cross the threshold and register, you switch it on and the same bills start printing as proper tax invoices. Nothing needs rebuilding.
Yes, because Thai law does. The order is subtotal, then service charge on the subtotal, then VAT on the two of them together. On a ฿1,000 bill at 10% service and 7% VAT that is ฿77.00 of VAT, not ฿70.00. Systems written for other countries commonly get this wrong, and the bill still looks normal.
Then it charges none. Both the service percentage and the VAT rate are settings on your venue rather than constants in our code.
No, and neither can we — that is deliberate. A mistaken bill is voided, so the number survives and the series stays gap-free, and every money report leaves it out. A refund or correction is a credit note referencing the original. The database itself refuses to delete a tax document.
At least five years, as the law requires, stored as both a structured record and a rendered PDF in an archive you can search.
No. We produce correct, compliant, retained documents and the reports your accountant asks for. We are not accountants and we do not submit anything on your behalf. We have also not joined the voluntary RD e-Tax Invoice & e-Receipt system — printed and emailed invoices with five-year retention satisfy an audit today.
Cash, PromptPay, card, or a bill split across all three. Card details never touch this system — the payment SDK holds them and we store only the authorisation result and a reference.
฿1,990 a month for the whole venue — every table, every floor, every member of staff. No per-terminal fee, no percentage of your sales, no charge per order. Setup is a one-off, quoted for your room. Prices exclude VAT.
No minimum term and no notice period. It is monthly, by bank transfer or PromptPay, with no card on file and no auto-renew you have to hunt for.
You take your data. Menu, sales history and every tax invoice, exported in a format you can open. No exit fee, no notice period, no holding your own numbers hostage.
The first month is paid before we set you up. If it is not right for your venue, tell us within 7 days of going live and we refund that month in full.
A small number of Bangkok venues, and we would rather say that plainly than inflate it. That is deliberate — we set up every venue ourselves rather than leaving you with a login and a manual, and there is a limit to how many we can do properly at once. It also means the people who built it are the people who set up your venue.
Language and staff
One of these answers is a limitation. We would rather you read it here.
The guest menu is fully bilingual, item by item, in your own wording. Staff screens and the back office are in English today, with Thai in progress — ask us where it stands before you decide, and we will give you the real answer rather than the sales one.
Yes, and this is one of the things the system is actually for. Permissions are granted per person: a waiter can send a round, only a manager can comp or reprice one, and every void or comp requires a written reason. Every staff change is written to an audit log that nobody — including us — can delete, and that is exported off the machine every hour.
Each venue is its own subscription, because each is its own set of books, its own tax invoice series and its own staff. Tell us about both and we will quote the setup together.
You can export it at any time without asking us, and there is a nightly encrypted backup held off the machine that made it. A backup on the same box is a copy, not a backup.
